Starkweather Place Turns One
A look back (and forward) at our newest neighborhood addition
It’s officially been a year since Starkweather Place opened its doors, and wow, what a transformation. From a hard-hat zone to a full-blown community, this east-side gem has come a long way in just a few months.
We looked through our archives to find some satisfying before and after photos that capture the journey: cranes, mud, and scaffolding have given way to trees, bicycles, and neighbors greeting each other in the morning. It is truly a story of thoughtful planning brought to life.

Located near the Starkweather Creek bike path and within walking distance of Garver Feed Mill and the Atwood neighborhood, Starkweather Place offers a connected and convenient lifestyle. Whether grabbing coffee from Ledger or heading to Olbrich Park, residents find daily life here both accessible and enjoyable.
This development was never just about building apartments in Madison, WI. It was about creating a space that feels like part of the neighborhood. One year in, we are seeing that vision realized. Neighbors who know each other. Sunsets enjoyed from balconies. Tomato plants thriving on patios. It is the everyday moments that truly define a home.
